Boy celebrated its 40th anniversary with a great demonstration of their injectors
One of the main points of the show was the patented Procan Alpha control. Technical seminars were offered to explain in greater detail the leading technology to the visitors. Procan Alpha control has everything that you may want. One of the characteristics of the control is the OPC interface, the endless possibilities offered by this impressive open interface were clearly demonstrated. A modern and compatible GPRS was connected to one of the machines, with this feature, the unit of injection error messages can be sent to a mobile phone. As a means of more effective communication, a VPN network via a static IP address was displayed. In this situation, the OPC interface of the machine is connected to a router.
The user can then access this router with a mobile phone compatible with internet, PDA, or a similar device to request the State of the machine. Greater possibilities are demonstrated through Fastec. Different software packages for systems MDE/BDE (systems of registration data of machine and operating system)
they were shown in operation. Visitors were able to see that the easyOEE software is not only a name, but that, as Procan Alpha, can be easily understood and put into practice. In total, ten practical presentations on other so many Boy injectors deployed a representative sample of the program. It placed special emphasis on micro-injection, the technology of white room, decorated in mold, molding with insert, as well as processes of elastomer and termoset. The event was rounded with a graphical view of the company's history, and the demonstration of a Boy15 produced in the early years of the brand, still in operation. This is the kind of machine that Max Shiffer first introduced to the public at the Hanover fair in 1968, the year in which the company was founded. This gave the initial thrust to the success of Boy.
The original concept formed the basis for the sales of approx. 40,000 machines of injection in these last 40 years.
