OCP participates in the construction of the magic box of Dominique Perrault

One of the most unique elements of this work are the covers designed by Perrault. They are composed of a system of movable panels mounted on hydraulic Pistons that are deployed in order to let the air and the Sun. The three decks can be configured up to 27 different positions. These proportional movements to the huge structure cast huge shadows on the landscape.
The use of a metal mesh is responsible for wrapping the magic box as a filter, reflecting or clarifying depending on the light of the day providing a dynamic game of contrasts and of dialogue with the environment in this way.
For the area of parking required very high water requirements and S200 and S400 of Aco systems have been the response to this demand. The bodies of these channels are made of polymer concrete, the racks are integrated into the same and bars of ductile cast iron, are attached to the frame by four screws treated against possible effects of corrosion. The two models used are specially designed to withstand loads more heavy, up to class F900, as well as constant frequency of circulation of traffic.
