The Canal de Isabel II allocated 22 million to the construction of three wastewater treatment plants

The Council of Government of the community of Madrid has been informed of the proposal for the award for the construction of three water treatment plants of sewage in the municipalities of Robledillo of la Jara, Torres de la Alameda and Berzosa del Lozoya. The performance, to be approved by the Board of Directors of the Canal de Isabel II, includes the installation of several sections of collectors. The initiative aims to expand the treatment of the wastewater generated in order to restore this resource to the rivers with the highest possible quality. In particular, actions in Robledillo of la Jara and Berzosa del Lozoya, Canal Isabel II will invest nearly € 3.1 million for the construction of several sections of collectors and two sewage plants in wastewater to dealt with an average of 476,06 m3 daily and 417,36 m3respectively. He is expected that the duration of the works of 16 months.
As for the new sewage treatment plant of Torres de la Alameda, the Canal de Isabel II plans to build a plant to treat 26,000 m3 per day initially, expandable up to the 39,000. The installation will provide a tertiary treatment for the production of regenerated water. The plant, which will be a wealth of 3,000 m3 per day, will enable the irrigation of the Torres de la Alameda and Villalbilla public green areas. The budget of this infrastructure will be the 18.9 million euros, while the works period shall be 30 months. The new and its term of ejecucsta infrastructure costs of the budget of this infrastructure is 18.9 million euros and time of execution of the works is 30 months. The new sewage treatment plant will be the wastewater of the municipalities in Santorcaz, Anchuelo, Villalbilla, Corpa, Valverde de Alcalá and Torres de la Alameda.
The three future treatment of waste water are framed in the Madrid Plan for the purification and reuse of water in the autonomous community, with an investment of EUR 700 million.
