Iberdrola opens in Scotland the largest wind park in Europe

Iberdrola yesterday inaugurated the largest wind park in Europe. With a total of 140 turbine, capable of producing up to 322 megawatt of energy, the new space Whitelee, undergoing a concourse to the West of Glasgow, Scotland.
"The parks as Whitelee can be profitable without subsidies in the medium term depending on the price of CO2 and oil but, above all, by the need for our countries to reduce dependence on the outside." The EU depends on 65% of the energy from outside and Spain by up to 85%. "An excessive proportion that we must reduce using indigenous resources", said during the opening ceremony the President of Iberdrola, Ignacio Sánchez Galán.
