Hernani and Spri sign business development of Galarreta

The first agreement for the development of the ' Polo Tecnológico Estubegi-Galarreta' of Hernani, between Donostia technological park and the Town Hall of Hernani, will involve an investment of EUR 160 million. The 108,000 square metres of surface area that have this extension of the Miramon Park, 60,000 square metres will be used to develop initiatives of high content of research and technological development carried out by the Park since its creation philosophy; (other 40,000 square meters them deal with the Ikaslelu Foundation, formed by the cooperative Orona, Mondragón Unibertsitatea and Ikerlan, integrated within the Mondragón Corporation) and 8,000 will be tertiary use.

The second agreement signed between the Town Hall of Hernani and Buruntzaldeko Industrialdea S.A., will make it possible to launch the Estubegi industrial estate in Galarreta.

This project, integrated within the Plan + Euskadi09 of the Basque Government, seeks to encourage the business renovation with the implementation underway of new business initiatives.

The new polygon, with an investment of EUR 13 million, will have an area of 31,000 square meters fully intended for industrial use, where will be located at the new facilities of Union pharmaceutical Guipuzcoana.

Buruntzaldeko Industrialdea S.A will also develop an industrial park with an area of 21,000 square meters. The project envisages the construction of two ships with flags.

Programme for competitiveness and innovation for Basque companies

SPRI has launched a new program of innovation to improve competitiveness and increase the innovative capacity of Basque companies. This new performance called of itineraries of competitiveness and innovation programme arises from the need to strengthen and evolve the previous 'Agendas for innovation' programme. Within the framework of the initiatives of + Euskadi2009 of the Basque Government, the programme is aimed at SMEs and consists of a thorough strategic reflection of competitiveness and innovation of the company's management team, with the support of an expert in the methodology of Spri external consultancy.

Thus, each company will be his own itinerary tailored to their particular needs, since it will detect what areas to strengthen. Companies can also supplement their itineraries with other programs of the Department of industry, innovation, trade and tourism, managed by Spri, and grouped under the common name of competing.

Phases of the programme

This program consists of three phases: definition, development and revision. The first phase involves the definition of the itinerary of innovation and competitiveness of the organization. To this end, Spri will support 50% of a total of nine working days an external consultant, which would increase by 25 per cent additional company obtains approval for a project managed by Spri in the 12 months following. In any case, the eligible amount is 6000 euros per organization.

The second phase involves the development of the itinerary for what Spri will provide 75% of the cost of the external consultancy. In this second phase the maximum eligible amount depends on the type of action that is carried out:

• 1,950 euros for the definition of projects in the areas of processes, products and services, market or the Organization itself.

It is a guide to measure the degree of sustainable development that is applied to the projects of urbanization; both those already achieved and the future. In this way, Sprilur seeks to obtain a higher quality in the sustainable management of industrial estates.

And herein, Sprilur will require the implementation of the measures contained in the Guide. In their lists of contracting valued positively, and puntuará to a large extent, at the time of awarding the works, those which apply to the project major measures contained therein.

The guide aims to define criteria, measures and actions to introduce in the housing estates, to ensure the highest level of sustainable development in the different phases that make up: design and drafting, execution of works, the useful life of the urbanizationits maintenance and its possible future demolition.

Should be noted that the measures contained in the guide have urban in scope and covers all uses of this type of soil: residential, hull old, rural, industrial, logistic, commercial zone, etc.

Also, the guide is intended for all those involved in the development of the urbanization. They include administrations, builders, developers, suppliers of services or companies responsible for maintenance and management, among others. Manufacturers of materials which must provide products that involve a breakthrough in sustainable development will also be subject to the new guide.

A computer easy to use and intuitive tool that will facilitate the knowledge of the measures of sustainable development that can be applied to the object of study urbanization will be designed to facilitate the use of this guide.
