The estates of Lleida, pioneers in best practices

Get a comprehensive management of the sectors of economic activities is considered key to improve issues such as security, hygiene, the use of renewable energy sources, management of green spaces, the use of wastewater, mobilitycollective transport and other services such as restaurants, day-care centres, libraries, etc. The idea is to implement a model that allows the management of business services, provide them an added value and help them grow in competitiveness and quality criteria of energy efficiency, sustainability and landscape integration. This management must allow optimization of energy sources and resources.
For 2009 has worked to achieve the agreement through a set of previous initiatives: the creation of the consortium of urban development to promote the new business of Torreblanca-Quatre Pilans, the wording of the style of the sectors of economic activities of Incasòl and their participation in the European project MITKE ('Managing the Industrial Territories in the) Knowledge Era').
Involved in the management of the business sectors
MITKE is a project which involves 11 organizations, including Incasòl, of 10 European regions, to provide a platform and mechanisms for the collection, Exchange and transfer experiences and knowledge to try and find better solutions and tools for the management of industrial parks. Different MITKE members have drawn up and developed a compilation and analysis of data to implement good practices in sectors of economic activities by means of a plan of improvement. The 11 members of MITKE must be able to apply two or three good practices in each of the polygons where carry out pilot tests to improve their management.
In the case of Catalonia, the pilot test will be in the Camí dels Frares, and it is a first experience of integral management of sectors of economic activity. Later, the objective of the City Council of Lleida and Incasòl is to apply the results and experiences of MITKE in the newly created Torreblanca-Quatre Pilans. In this new specialized sector, the Catalan Institute of the soil is to implement a comprehensive management and part involved in its management. So far, Incasòl promotes and develops area sectors of economic activity, but once implanted, the management is generally derived municipalities.
Primeres millores to deploy to the Camí dels Frares
After the talks and compilation of data with the Association of entrepreneurs of the industrial estate Camí dels Frares, one of the first actions that will be will be improved signage, as in this sector is an issue that companies working there priority. The second action is security, and thirdly is the cleaning and maintenance of the polygon. These last are those who point the majority of sectors of economic activity survey as two of the main areas to improve.
The signing of the agreement is a first step to continue working together and the monthly meetings that were already initiated in 2009 and set, and specify how to implement the priorities of the Camí dels Frares, currently there are 30% associated companies and you would need greater involvement to develop a comprehensive management.
The Catalan Institute of soil starts the commercialization of the sector starting from Santa Llúcia in Solsona (Lleida)
Incasòl brings to sell a plot of the polygon 1 of the sector of economic activity starting of Santa Llúcia of Solsona, located in the province of Lleida. Sold a plot aimed at isolated industry. The starting price of concurrency is set at 90 euros per square meter of floor and is open to different business sectors who wish to settle in the comarca of the Solsonès.
The polygon 1, which is now commercialized, has an area of 2.34 hectares and in the works of urbanization have been invested 855.000 euros. It is located southeast of the city. The road C-55 from Solsona to Manresa crosses the scope of the polígono and a roundabout has been constructed to solve the access to the new industrial area and which will result in the improvement of accessibility to the already existing polygons.
This action represents the first phase of the industrial area Santa Llúcia starting with an approximate total surface of 46 hectares earmarked for economic activities. Currently, Incasòl is before the approach of the estates 2 and 3 of the same sector. It is expected that the partial sector plan Santa Llúcia, which includes the estates 2 and 3, be adopted definitively by the end of 2010.
The sector of economic activity starting of Santa Llúcia is part of the different performances being made by the Government of the Generalitat through the Catalan Institute of soil to provide new ground and boost industrial growth.
