The World Trade Organization supports the Sil 2009

The Director general of the world Organization of the trade (WTO), Valentine Sendanyoye Rugwabiza, has confirmed his attendance at the 11 th Edition of the international exhibition logistics and maintenance - Sil-, which will take place from 2 to 5 June 2009 on the grounds of Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via.
Rugwabiza will participate as a speaker on the first day of consumption organized by Astic-Iru, the Spanish Member of the International Road Transport Union' (Iru), and which will take place within the framework of the Sil during the morning of Tuesday, June 2. This day will also feature the participation of the Secretary General of the Iru, Umberto Pretto.
The first edition of the day of consumption will have the title ' transport and consumption: tools for recovery '. At the same time this day will be an issue as important as that of economic protectionism of States as a tool to overcome the global economic crisis.
For its part, the speech of Umberto Pretto will have by title 'Governments should promote the facilitation of transport out of the crisis'. Valentine Sendanyoye Rugwabiza, Director general of the WTO will also speak of the Organization as an institution that promotes sharing and discourages protectionism as a measure to overcome the crisis.
