Júndiz, the business park of Vitoria-Gasteiz

Gasteiz Industria Lurra, S.A., Gilsa, is a public company founded in 1993, 58,224% owned by the City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz, and public society for the promotion of land and constructions of the Basque Government, Sprilur, % 41,776.

This public entity is a continuation of a municipal policy of management of industrial land to the Town Hall of Vitoria-Gasteiz had been initiated in the 1950s and that the industrial belt of the city as we know it today was developed. In the medium term the objective is to consolidate the front of the N-102 with business enterprises, at present because there are four installed and three others will be coming soon. So far there are already installed over 500 companies from different sectors of activity from the logistics, automotive, metal, chemical, electronic, Commercial Timbers services to companies, etc., of which 121 are established in these past 10 years in urbanized by Gilsa lands which have invested around EUR 344 millionwith an employment of about 4,000 workers of whom about 1,000 have been newly created.

A zone of services in the southwest of the Park is currently completing the offer of hotels, restaurants, Bank offices, consulting for companies, medical services, day-care centres, sports facilities, available to companies located there providing interesting added value to the area.

Part of this surface is reserved provisionally pending that confirm some investments.

500,000 Square meters of total free area, are in sector 21 (the recent expansion to the West) and 143,000 square meters in the sector-6 of which 82,000 square meters (9 plots) correspond to industry showcase at the head of the N-102. These figures should be added the area available in the Centre of transport which does not correspond to Gilsa.

The first four companies in the sector 21 have started its activity in 2008, the new developed area of the business park of Júndiz and during the first half of 2009 is expected to be the beginning of activity of the other five companies that have very advanced or practically completed the works of its facilities.
The year 2008 was also closed with 42.174 square metres of sales floor to 9 companies of different sectors of activity.

In 2009 if containment in the demand for soil is expected to wait for the evolution of economic data, but are kept contacts with companies interested in developing their expansion projects in Júndiz as soon as market conditions and the financial system permit.
