Interview to Enrique Lacalle, President of Low Cost and Barcelona Meeting Point
February 12, 2009
Low Cost is a market that seems designed for SMEs, administrators of estates and private owners. It has been created as a lifeguard for this type of sellers who otherwise, would have many difficulties to get 'RID' of your product or is more focused on the buyer who is not a product at a good price?
Low Cost is a cyclical fair, appropriate to the time we live in is not easy for the sector. It is a fair to support and to help sell, designed for both the seller and the buyer. Our goal is that who wants to sell, to sell and sell, and who wants to buy can do it at the best price. It is a Hall that is intended to be a point and separate in the crisis, because I am convinced that will sell at Low Cost and much.
In view of the Economic Outlook, that does not provide a solution to the crisis by 2010 at the earliest, how many editions of the Low Cost fair are expected to carry out?
We will make them necessary. At the time that we consider that Low Cost isn't necessary, or as soon as you change the cycle that we hope to be as short as possible, we will stop making it.
Could it have some continuity in the future, despite the economic recovery, if request you so the market?
The normalization of the economic situation and pass the crisis, Barcelona Meeting Point returns to meet all the expectations and needs.
It is a fact that there is demand for real estate, whether homes, offices and even industrial or logistical vessels... but also it is true that banks has greatly reduced the credit companies. Do you think that this fair may contribute to desencallar the situation?
This fair, we are confident, will be a parenthesis, because buyers are, with a difference, in these times looking for price, which is why if we offer products and discounts we are convinced that there will be queuing to enter.
In regard to the financial institutions we have offered to open offices in the living room to give mortgages and loans, some have already.
And, do could explain in more detail in what would be the participation of the Bank as a 'white label'?
When we refer to 'white label' it is pure and simply for those companies or financial institutions who prefer to sell their products without their usual brand. We have detected that there are companies who prefer to take the part of their products with discount without your brand and it is a tailored suit.
Finally, what expectations are for this first edition?
All first edition is unknown. However, we have never had so many calls the first few days and so much interest, so I think that will be a success of participation and public.
