The expansion of Vicolozano III, the last project of Gesturcal

The industrial area of Vicolozano is on the right side of the N-501 (Soria-Plasencia), direction Villacastín, and accessing it from a service road parallel to the aforementioned road. It is bordered by the South the highway A-51, Ávila-Villacastín, of recent construction, which runs parallel to the above N-501 and a short distance from the same. Vicolozano III sits on land located about three kilometers from the urban quarter of Avila, adjacent to the current site of Vicolozano.

The month of August were awarded contracts for services for project management and coordination of safety and health during the execution of service connection works and the works of urbanization of the 19 Sector of el PGOU, concerning the extension of 1.1 million square metres of industrial park of Vicolozano, in Ávila. Work began on 16 September and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2009.

The total area of the sector is 1.132.854,77 square meters in plot for building industrial global use-delimited. The total density of the plan will be 453.141,91 square meters.

With regard to the distribution of uses and land use, it is determined that they be used 275.245,01 square meters for small and medium enterprises; 169.258,01 square meters large companies; are reserved for public equipment 92.977,87 square meters, for private equipment, other 26.828,32; the public spaces will be extended in 92.982,48 square meters; urban services occupy 4.037,88 square meters and the road, 164.076,37 square meters.

The extension fits between the road N-110, to the North; the motorway AP-51, to the South; the area of protection of the stream of Berrocalejo, to the East and the Industrial area 'Vicolozano I', to the West. The connection of the sector will take place by means of link to the national N-110 Highway and three connections to the current polygon.

The month of April, the delegation of Castile and León, Spain in Ávila determined to report favourably on the project of enlargement of the polygon, giving the go-ahead to the project of the partial Plan of management of the sector 19 'Vicolozano II', promoted by Gesturcal and initiatives business HabitS.A.

The connection of the sector will take place by means of link to the national N-110 Highway and three connections to the current polygon.

With regard to the supply network, it will connect to the existing in the current site of Vicolozano network and the installation of regulatory deposits are not expected. The sanitation network will be separativa, the rain verterán in the service of the motorway AP-51 road.

The network of waste will flow to a pumping chamber located in the lowest point of the polygon with the N-110. This House will be designed to retain a volume equivalent to the average consumption of 12 hours in the polygon.

Since this House is will drive waste water to the existing pumping and station here to the WWTP (wastewater treatment of waste water) of Ávila.

Energy needs for the sector are 22,56 megawatts that will be obtained from the high voltage line facing the sector, which will be underground, and will install a transformer substation that will lead the entire medium voltage network. The supply of natural gas will take place through connection to the gas pipeline Ávila-Segovia, currently under construction, which passes through the southern edge of the sector.

In the environmental impact study, which was already subjected to public information, and they introduce a series of corrective and protective measures to reduce or eliminate the negative environmental effects.
