Further innovation in new-generation fabrics, from Klopman
Klopman International , one of the leading European manufacturers of polyester/cotton and cotton fabrics for workwear, image wear, protective wear and casual wear, has recently introduced a number of new products, in keeping with their long-standing commitment to continuously develop and introduce innovative new fabrics and finishes, by taking advantage of the opportunities provided by advanced technologies.
Among the most innovative are two new windproof fabrics – Spotlight 2L Function and Spotlight 3L Function – designed to offer ultimate levels of performance and protection for workers in a wide range of outdoor occupations. Based on Spotlight, one of Klopman’s best-selling image workwear fabrics, combined with a high performance WINDSTOPPERTM membrane for total windproofness and maximum breathability, these new fabrics combine all the advantages of Klopman’s proven fabric manufacturing expertise with the outstanding performance characteristics of W.L. Gore’s WINDSTOPPER® product technology.
High performance protection
There have also been further additions to Klopman’s extensive range of high performance EN-accredited protectivewear fabrics. In particular Arena FR and Bravo FR, two cotton-rich fabrics which combine excellent flame retardancy characteristics with exceptional comfort and all-round performance, achieved by exploiting the advantages of Klopman‘s continuous processing technology with the integration of the most up-to-date PROBAN® FR finishing plant.
As well as new fabrics Klopman has also recently introduced two advanced finishes, including Mosquito Stop,is designed to provide protection from a wide range of stinging, biting and non-biting insects as well as ticks. Available as an optional finish on a wide range of Klopman workwear and EN-accredited protective wear fabrics, it is ideal for use in full garments, as well as accessories such as caps and hats, and can be used on its own or in combination with other Klopman finishes. The other new finish is DuraClean, an advanced and highly effective soil repellent and soil release finish, also available as an option on a wide range of Klopman fabrics. Ideal for the large number of applications where garment appearance, hygiene and safety (flame retardant properties and high visibility) are important concerns, DuraClean also offers important economic benefits as less washing is required, at lower temperatures, in turn contributing to an extended working life for the garment."
