For the storage of dangerous substances, Airbus bets on the competition of Denios

At the headquarters of Airbus in Finkenwerder, a mixture of painting room should be created in the Pavilion of mounting of equipment of long-haul for hydraulic and pneumatic installations. For this solution, several key aspects should be taken into account. On the one hand, the storage in accordance with the law for the safe handling of dangerous pollutants from water and flammable substances (paints and varnishes). Another goal of Airbus was the solution to be formed by a storage facility F90 integrating work for dangerous substances, with extraction system. The protection alarm and air technology played a decisive role. Next to the job for hazardous substances, a system of extraction of the Workbench should protect employees from harmful vapors to health. In this context, it was also necessary to respect the labour laws of Airbus. For the use of the room's mix of painting, also should be carried out 10 changes of air in the container. The combination of the extraction outside the container, the extraction of the Bank of work and the job for dangerous substances, as well as immersion tank, needed a very complex air outlet tube assemblies.

Airbus also demanded competent and general care of the project, from the analysis of the requirements to procurement of workshop and administration. Denios answered this service profile and was commissioned. The developers of Denios recommended as a solution a passable F90 system integrating a job for hazardous substances and extraction system. It was a container facility of BMCK840X type with protection alarm full F90 inside and outside.

Some of the features of the equipment were, for example, a technical ventilation, ventilation monitoring, a system of verification of gate, an indicator of errors and a motion sensor. (EX) antiexplosivos models were used in all the electrical installations. Job for hazardous substances has a system of registration of hazardous substances of the type AT-20 on former model with an area of work of 2,00 x 0.80 m.

Airbus obtained a room of mixture of multi-purpose painting where you can store all hazardous substances safely and in accordance with the law, and that meets all the requirements. Safe colors and varnishes in handling was guaranteed to employees since the start up.
