The 5th Edition of SaMmi and the first of Siapp are held together

Last February were presented to the press the next editions of the maintenance Hall, Assembly and installations, SaMmi, and the international exhibition of automation, processes and production, Siapp, to be held at the Barcelona International Convention Centre, site Forum, from 20 to 22 May.

This will be the fifth edition of the SaMmi and the first of Siapp, to be held together, an ideal circumstance given the interest that both represent within the industrial and professional, as explained Ramón Martín, organizer of the events.

Hall SaMmi, continuation of the previous maintenance Hall, covers everything related to the "Industrial maintenance, maintenance of buildings, installations and facilities and engineering" in this new edition while the Siapp Hall of new edition, integrates the scope of the "Automation"", Control, robotics, technology TT II, transmission and vision". Both rooms have an overall area of 10,000 m2, with the aim of an attendance of 7,000 visitors.

For its part, José Luis Fabrés, former President of AEM (Spanish Association of maintenance) and President of the Hall of the maintenance, insisted in his presentation on the relevance of joint celebration of the salons for the interest they have for professionals involved in these so interrelated fields. He highlighted a number of factors that affect the success of the Organization and conduct of saMmi and Siapp, ranging from the participation of exhibitors to the attainment of the maximum number of visitors, not to mention all the activities to be developed in parallel in the form of Conference techniques Monográficas. Then, Pedro Rodriguez, Secretary General of AEM, Director of maintenance and Organization Secretary of the banquet, presented an overview of the "Hall of the maintenance, Assembly and installations". He remarked that SaMmi took the witness of the Hall of the maintenance and that power is with the integration of new areas such as assemblies and facilities and engineering. And to not lose the path, this Hall is located as "5th Hall maintenance, installations and facilities", a biennial competition to be held in even-numbered years.

The presentation of Siapp was carried out by Alicia Romero, Director and coordinator of the same.
