Most of the suppliers of plastic pellets is located abroad and the most common way to transport is the container. The Pellet is stored in bags in large rigid octagonal cardboard containers, called Octabin, or in polyethylene bags, called big bags.
This type of packaging is a problem when it comes to automatically manipulate its contents. They have to be downloaded, and it is at this stage of the process where Moretto has dedicated its effort. Oktobag is the latest technology for automatic downloading octabins and big bags developed by the company. The system is based on four oscillating arms that move independently and who work in containing poly-bag forming a unique wave motion.
