Expoquimia, Equiplast and Eurosurfas, from 14 to 18 November

From 14 to 18 November returns to celebrate a new edition of Expoquimia, international chemical exhibition; Equiplast, international exhibition of plastics and rubber, and Eurosurfas, international salon of painting and the treatment of surfaces. The banquet, organised by Fira de Barcelona every three years, have led to the biggest gathering of applied chemistry of the Mediterranean, which brings together more than 4,300 companies and offers 50 activities, conferences and workshops of interest to professionals.

Expoquimia, Equiplast and Eurosurfas gather more 1,095 direct exhibitors occupying 66.427 square metres net exhibition space in halls 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the venue Gran via. This data confirms the high level of participation in the contest, expected to increase by 5 per cent the total exhibition area of the last edition, held in 2002.

Equiplast, international exhibition for plastics and rubber, also exceeds the exhibition area contracted over the same period of the previous call. The pageant has 316 direct exhibitors displaying their products in close to 23.375 square metres NET over all 1 flag of Gran Vía and a part of number 2.

International participation in this Hall again very prominent, with more than 30 per cent of foreign exhibitors and 5 percent more exhibition area contracted with respect to the latest edition. Countries with direct presence in the Hall are Italy, followed by Germany, Portugal and Taiwan.

Equiplast sees strengthened further as the international business platform through the business encounter Al - Invest III, organized in collaboration with the multisectoral business, AMEC, Association and the Spanish Association of manufacturers of machinery for plastics and rubber, IMAPCon 15 and 16 November.

This day is integrated within the programme of the Commission European Al - INVEST, which aims to promote and strengthen economic cooperation between European and Latin American companies. During the two days have been organized interviews custom among companies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador and Mexico, on the one hand, and Spain, France and Italy companies.

Coinciding with the celebration of his 40 years of experience, Expoquimia recorded their record of exhibition area, with more than 37,500 square metres net of distributed surface between part of the Pavilion 2 and all of the 3 palaces and Gran Vía 4. This figure represents nearly a 4.2 percent more surface area than that obtained in the same period of the previous edition.

This Hall, who moves first to the Gran via exhibition, has the direct participation of 651 enterprises. Among them the international quota amounts to nearly 50 foreign stands. In the first position is Germany, followed by France, Italy, United Kingdom and China.

One of the top innovations of this edition is Compositech, the new sector dedicated to composites to Expoquimia launches and which has close to 600 net square metres in Pavilion 2 of Gran Vía. This new area, which brings together all the technologies, production processes and innovation projects relating to the composites, has the support of the technological Institute of plastics, Aimplast, and of the Italian Association of Composites and related, Assocompositi, which are present in the Hall.

For its part, the international salon of painting and the treatment of surfaces, Eurosurfas, would be kept in this edition of participation levels very similar to the last call, with some 130 direct exhibitors who will occupy more than 5,500 net square meters of exhibition area.

This fact confirms the commitment that the sector of the painting and galvanic treatments maintained with Eurosurfas, which will also demonstrate through the various workshops that were organized.

Apart from the exhibition offer, the meeting will offer visitors an extensive program of activities, conferences and workshops that consolidate it as a great platform for discussion and promotion of research and innovation. Within the framework of Expoquimia stand out: a session devoted to biotechnology and the opportunities it offers to the chemical industry; the Conference International (iii) of the Sector; the 11th Conference of Instrumental Analysis (JHA), the X Mediterranean Congress of chemical engineering or the Conference on the law of prevention and integrated pollution Control (IPPC). On the other hand in Eurosurfas will be held the 4th technical workshop of galvanic coatings or Eurocar, the 5th Congress on finishes of surface of the automotive industry, while Equiplast will host the meeting at Al - Invest III.

As a novelty, it should be emphasized the creation of the Expoquimia Award for research, development and innovation, which aims to collaborate in the promotion and dissemination of the implementation of the chemical and technological knowledge. The candidates presented their applications until on 10 September and soon the jury will choose the winner, who will receive the award as part of the Hall.
