Piovan, strong bet for specialization

Piovan, represented by Luiso, will show new equipment at the booth of the 2004 K´. In an area of 212 square meters, the company will showcase new machinery and the latest solutions for each application. The aim of Piovan for this edition of the contest is show the customer and visitor the strong specialization of the company in different business areas, supported by dedicated injection divisions, to the moulding by blowing, extrusion, the preforms of PET and the field of optical disk. Major developments include the new dryer with dehumidification DP 604 - DP 624.

The most relevant news concerning the field of drying. Some models of the new DP line, covering air flow from 50 m3/h up to 800 m3/h will be presented first at the stand of the k. Ideal for middle and large productions, double desiccant Tower dryers DP 604 - DP 624 allows to operate up to 200 ° C in the HT in high version temperature, guaranteeing dew point values less than - 45 ° C. The features and options are the same in all units, including those of lesser extent, unlike those of the competition.

The result of the development of new models is a new interface for the operator. Control of microprocessor, with car adapter PID algorithms, ensures an immediate operation and maximum ease of use. A single screen allows the basic parameters of the dryer, such as the set point, dehumidification temperature and the dew point. The control offers the possibility of entering details of the operation and the different functions, which can be modified after you enter the password. The screen is intuitive and easy to read and is available in the language of the operator. In addition to Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish, German, Dutch versions and central Europe are available, as well as the interface in Russian and Chinese.

In the same way as the renewed design and optimization of the internal circuits, the options are also new. In fact, the new Piovan DP can be equipped with two types of interfaces: ModBus RS 485 which allows to be handled by software, and the Profibus which reproduces PLC, ideal for the connection with WinCC Siemens. Also the programmer in/off daily new is, thanks to which the operator can select the status on/off on 4 different courses, one of which is dedicated to long periods of shutdown of machine.

Series, all models are equipped with devices for energy that have been tested and considered as standard features in the previous series of dryers DS 6.

The standard version features optimization of regeneration and planning, as well as a function of the temperature of the material. The last function reduces the working temperature in case that extends the shutdown, which avoids the risk of material from overheating.

With the new Piovan portable solutions, the client can increase the number of connected hopper dryers, at any time, without any modification to the existing system. The operations of combinations, as well as the addition of new modules can be transported directly by the operator in a way faster and easier. Two types are available: dryers hopper with capacities from 30 to 200 liters and driers with capacities exceeding 800 litres hopper. The latter are installed on a dedicated framework, and the connection between them is via adapters that run hoses and electric cables. Each hopper dryer is equipped with a Chamber of independent heat and a dedicated electronic control, which has been developed from the same interface and logic as the dryer control. In the operator panel can also be the type of material processed in the hopper dryer, to allow immediate identification. In the same way as portable dryers of the previous version, the renovated version is also equipped with important devices that optimize energy consumption. As the standard, portable solution includes the system of management of temperature and discharge volume which automatically adjusts the processes of temperature according to the consumption of material for each hopper dryer. The Auto Airflow instrument is available upon request. This allows, always automatically, reducing the flow of air in the hopper dryer.
