Siemens Increases his income 9% in the second quarter

“As it was foreseen, the second quarter has not been easy. Although we have achieved to increase clearly the income, the requests have been inferior to the ones of the previous year when being lower the volume of big requests. The fall was mainly caused by a lower volume of big asked in comparison with the same period of the previous year. The income reached the 19.300 million euros with an increase of 9%. In the sector Power, the new requests reduced almost a third part until the 5.800 million euros, whereas the income increased 13% until the 6.900 million euros. The reduction in the figure of the new requests owed mainly to a lower volume of big asked in comparison to the same period of the previous year, in which they included the requests of a head office of cycle combined in Saudi Arabia and three wind parks marine in Germany. Regarding the sector Healthcare, the new requests totalizaron 3.200 million euros, with an increase of 4% in comparison to the same period of the previous exercise, whereas the income increased 8% until the 3.400 million euros. In the sector Industry, the figure of new requests reached the 5.100 million euros, slightly above the figure of the same period of the previous year. The income of the Sector Industry grew 9% until the 5.100 million euros.
In the new sector Infrastructure & Cities, the income increased 6% until the 4.300 million euros, whereas the new requests fell 6% until the 3.900 million euros, when reducing the volume of new requests in the rail business.
