75% more than performance with the new ‘Generation Tiger•tec Silver ISO P' of Walter Tools

As already it announced in the EMO 2011, the launching to the market for the mechanised of material ISO P of the new design Tiger•tec Silver already is in course. In addition to the new design of the rompevirutas FP5 for finishing and of the rompevirutas Mp3 for the mechanised half of materials of long shaving, Walter offers two rompevirutas for greater depths of cutting. The rompevirutas MP5 has been designed for mechanised means, whereas the rompevirutas RP5, has been it for desbastes.
“As it has showed in a lot of proofs of field that have carried out four months after his launching, with the new interchangeable plates Tiger•tec Silver ISO P, we have created a package that is very balanced in all the senses; we have resulted with a half improvement of the life of the tool of 75% and in particular cases, until 600%, when we compare us with the existent technology”, explains Gerd Kußmaul, global manager of Development of Product of turning in Walter. This also is applicable in demanding materials, like steels treated with resistance to the upper traction to 1000 N/mm² or steels to the carbon, which generate a big craterización. This is had to so much to the microestructure optimised of the coatings Tiger•tec Silver as to the substrata of the degrees WPP10S, WPP20S and WPP30S that adapt to a wide range of different applications.
Besides, the results of these practical proofs show the importance of the geometries to have a high performance and a reliability of process. As it has seen in the tests, the new generation of rompevirutas has big control of shaving, even with soft materials like the St22. All the details of the plates that are decisive to have good control of shaving have been optimised with a lot of care.
Here are the characteristics of the two new teeth of the tiger: with a wide spectrum of pieces and big depth of past, whose rank is of 0,6 to 7 millimetres, the rompevirutas MP5 is directed for a big number of mecanizadores in mechanised general. With the edge of cut tenaz and arched, a deep cavity after the edge of cutting and some tetones for the control of shaving reinforced, the plates with the MP5 can control so much the soft cuttings like the interrupted. The MP5 is therefore the rompevirutas universal. For the desbaste the rompevirutas more suitable is the PR5, this rompevirutas now can mechanise depths of 12 millimetres and his request of power has gone down. This is been due to a resistant positive chamfer in the edge of cutting. This chamfer widens in the central zone of the edge of cutting. This is what gives the stability in the edge of cut, even for depths relatively high and with cascarilla. An open and deep design in the central zone of the rompevirutas reduces the generation of heat and therefore the wear. In accordance with Walter, the two rompevirutas cover the greater part of the applications, between the 60 and 70%.
