Demag Ergotech demonstrated live
150 people in the mini fair organized in its new plant
Taking advantage of the opening of new plants which has been located in Sant Boi (Barcelona), Demag Ergotech showed before the transformers of plastic, live, the functioning of some of their latest.
. In the month of June Demag convened the first days of open doors of its new plant, 650 m2, in which, in addition to offices, has space for testing machines and demonstrations, courses and store spare parts.
Ease of access and the suitability of the environment were evident for nearly 150 visitors approached Sant Boi to see, live, some of the latest operation. It was therefore a mini fair, where, for example, the EL-elexis of 200 T shaped 32 handles cutters razors Gillette each 4.9 s. The mold was loaned by Gillette and such production accounted for a challenge from the point of view of the manipulation of such amounts in one hour.
Another interesting demo was the small Multi of 110 T, equipped with a secondary plasticizer for liquid silicones and a robot feeding insert and removal of pieces. With a very sophisticated mold, production in parts of two-component machine was one of the most valued by the transformers there present, advised by the growing concern that exists today in the market by multi-component applications.
Moreover, the interest generated by this process was such, that it was decided to organize a conference exclusively for the injection of various components during the month of July. This second call again represented a success for Demag, given the interest of their machines and their experience in this area.
The presentation of the new series modular and the new series Viva completed proofs of this Conference, which was attended by professionals of Catalonia, Levante, Aragon and the North.
The new plant
In a total of 650 m2, the area for tests and demonstrations is half (300 m2), with all services and devices to carry out any evidence of mold. There is no lack, therefore, a closed-circuit water cooler, atemperadores of moulds, robot of extraction of parts and all sorts of peripherals, thanks to the usual collaborators of the company, as it is the case of Wittmann, Equifab and others.
Warehouses for spare parts occupy more than 200 m2, and they are parts small and delicate, such as electrical and electronic parts and precision parts, but also heavy, which include complete bimetallic plasticizers and the kits parts water for a rapid adaptation of machines to the needs of the client.
Another large space from the point of view of its value is the training, the more valuable piece for Demagroom. It is equipped with modern audio and video media and offers a great comfort to provide courses to customers and partners.
