The project Wetcomp, of 2 years of length, puts of self-evident the narrow relation that can arrive to exist between the textile sectors and of transformation of plastics. The past 18 January celebrated in Alcoy (Alicante), in the headquarters of Aitex the meeting that gave beginning to the planned actions in the European project Wetcomp, whose main aim is to show that the technology ‘wet-laid' is useful to obtain a big quantity of textile materials no-fabrics, from textile waste. The no-knitted ‘wet-laid' are elaborated by means of the modification of a process to manufacture paper. This is, the fibres that have to be used are suspended in a half aqueous, which will be drained of progressive way. Regarding the comparison of the technology ‘wet-laid' with the technology ‘dry-laid', is possible for the first process so many long fibres like short fibres (for example fibres of glass).
