Atlas Copco bought generators Gesan Spanish manufacturer

Atlas copco sae has signed an agreement for the acquisition of group generator Gesan, S.A. of Spain, a manufacturer of diesel and petrol generators marketed through a worldwide network of distributors. The agreement significantly expand the range of Atlas Copco generators and will help to create a portfolio of more competitive products, especially for customers in emerging markets.
Gesan, which had revenues in 2010 of 56 million euros, employs about 160 people and is headquartered in Zaragoza, Spain, where it has manufacturing and assembly facilities. The agreement was formalized on July 14. The operation is not subject to approval by competition authorities.
