Zollner Elektronik AG standardizes Tecnomatix, Siemens PLM digital manufacturing solution

Siemens plm Software, a business unit of Siemens Industry Automation Division, and provider of software and services for the management of the life cycle of the product (PLM), has announced that Zollner Elektronik AG (Zollner), provider of electronic manufacturing (EMS) of ZandtBavaria, standardizes software Tecnomatix as its solution of digital manufacturing and automation of factory, to further shorten lead times, reduce costs and help minimize the risks by assessing possible variants. The decision of Zollner expand the use of Tecnomatix was taken following, during the last 15 months of intense tests with complete projects planning whose results were a success.

As a provider of EMS, Zollner uses its production lines to manufacture components, modules, devices or complete systems to measure. Zollner serves a wide variety of industries, including industrial electronics, automotive, Office Electronics and information technology. Zollner covers the entire chain of value for their customers, from planning and development to the prototype and series production, reaching various post-production services. Worldwide, the company is among the first 15 suppliers of this area.

Zollner began using Tecnomatix, the portfolio of Siemens PLM Software solutions of digital manufacturing leading the industry in 2009, and since then has successfully deployed the software on several critical and demanding process engineering projects. As part of this expansion, the company plans to launch Tecnomatix as its standard factory across the enterprise planning system to take further advantage of the solution and provide a flexible and accurate planning together with the analysis and management of production processes.
