External dynamism help to increase exports of Amec 13.11 %

The report for 2010 situation and prospects for 2011 of the private company Amec Association reveals that the volume of exports (+ 13.11%) increased by € 2.8 billion. According to the multi-sectoral entity, this figure represents a clear improvement compared to 2009. Amec companies are grouped in the following sectors: machinery for packaging and packing and its graphics (Envasgraf); machinery for plastic and rubber (Imapc); electrical and electronic material (Amelec); equipment and services for the environment (Amecma); equipment for bathroom and kitchen (Ascon); machinery meat, bakery and pastry shop, and food (Aefemac, Afespan and Alimentec); textile machinery (Amtex); and urban and traffic (Amec Urbis) equipment.
According to Amec, this positive behavior of global demand has resulted in a greater optimism for exporting companies and this 2011 sales abroad could increase by 8.5% compared to last year. For this reason, the Amec companies have valued external demand as the first and almost unique juncture in affect them in a positive factor. In this sense, Llucià Casellas, Chairman of Amec, highlighted that "2010 results have been better that, even in 2008, year in which began the crisis".
