The modernist street lamps of the Diagonal renewed its image

The street lamps model 'Diagonal' are of the oldest in Barcelona. Signature industries and Foundry Roura installed them in 1926 on the busy stretch between Passeig Sant Joan Francesc Macià. With this renewal, lighting Roura industries will end the Barcelona promenade, from Francesc Macià to the exit of the city by the Zona Universitària.

According to the current model of street light, recover the details and original engravings by removing layers of paint that have been implemented for almost a century and joins them with a fine finish with effect wrought iron. In addition, this process ensures excellent corrosion protection.

On the other hand, adapt the doors of records electrical giving it greater security and waterproofing. Renewal will consist of about 300 points of light by the Barcelona promenade. Its completion is expected by the end of March 2011.

The street lamps will be adapted to the current needs of energy efficiency and reduction of light pollution. The Bill will be reduced by 150% and improved levels of uniformity and lighting.
