International debut in the world of the injection: PUR antiadhesión only by plasma
By nature, PUR foams like to stick to the mold. To prevent this accession, spray is applied to the inner part of the mold, first with an agent of anti-corrosion, with the risk that it be deposited in the finished plastic parts. Another different method is the lasting coating, but for this process the first mold should be removed, then, sent to a specialized company to eliminate the old coating, implement the new, and then installed on the machine again. A process that requires time and money.
Plasmatreat and CeraCon show in K, how Openair atmospheric plasma technology allows a transformation process of polyurethane without rusting through the coating inside the mould and the regeneration within the mold. This innovative system for sustainable coating, called PlasmaPlus, is a completely new method of selective coating autoadhesión, which takes place inside the mould of injection of PUR. The only antiadhesión effect is generated by polymerization in the mould, without any rusting or other wet chemicals. The aforementioned uninstallation of the mold for a new coating process can be eliminated since these coatings do not have why to delete. The regeneration of the old coating is now produced more quickly by plasma in the same mould.
