Siemens PLM Software improves version 6 of NX software with their D-Cubed components

Siemens plm Software Announces than its components of software D-Cubed 2D Dimensional Constraint Manager (2D DCM), Profile Geometry Manager (PGM) and 3D Dimensional Constraint Manager (3D DCM) are making new and significant contributions in the productivity of the Version 6 of NX software design, the solution of development of the digital product of reference of the company.
NX6 is ahead in the use of 2D DCM and PGM components, introducing further improvements in the operations of profile and outline in 2D. Fully tested with more than 1.5 million of commercial licenses in use around the world, the 2D DCM is the preferred solution in the industry of computer aided design (CAD) for the configuration of schemes, due to the geometric constraint solving. The PGM is based in this capacity, supporting the operations of outline of higher level, such as the offset profiles. Some examples of new features enabled by these components in NX6 are advanced adjustment 2D DCM for the blocking of normal lines to flexible curves and a new PGM function to set a point to a loop of connected edges, instead of just a single curve.
The DCM 3D resolves a variety of dimensions, restrictions and form equations simultaneously, and is compatible with all types of geometries found in modern models 3D CAD, making it suitable for a variety of applications in NX 6. The expanded use of 3D DCM has made improvements to NX Routing, environment design for the electrical and mechanical subsystems. Resolved in NX Routing 3D DCM restrictions now have a bi-directional associativity with the 3D DCM restrictions applied to the parties on NX Assemblies. This has been supplemented with a better performance in the solution of routes which include fixed-length splines.
