Interview with Juan Garcia, commercial Manager of Equiper
It is already customary to take for granted that in Europe (and Spain) the automation in the plastics industry is already an obligation. This claim, do there is actually in demand for robots of this industry?
In the traditionally more dynamic sectors and long productions such as the automotive and packaging automation is an obligation, but not seen so clear in others where perhaps they automate other processes pre and post-production (treatments of raw)(, finishes, storage, labelling, etc.).

Does plenty of room in Spain for the sale of robots in the plastics industry?
By the way of understanding the robots as provider think that s' there is room in Spain, but there is to change the mentality in some companies who believe that it is only interesting to automate large-scale productions, when always have robots at plant will be an added value precisely to qualify for new projects and improve processes without hand work added, irrespective of increases in production.
There is room to improve the robots? What technical characteristic is your company focusing to make improvements? (speed, accuracy, cost reduction...).
Developments in reliability, ease of management, economics of buying and speed, are improvements that are already applied by major manufacturers, aspects which continue to evolve from year to year.
In Equiper, we wanted to move a little more recently started a collaboration with the Swiss company's integration of GHS Automation, specialist in turnkey automation processes for more than 25 years. In these applications the robot (tilting, linear, Cartesian or 6-axis) is only the starting point for optimizing complex processes, both those that require the intervention of labour-intensive, in which speed is a determining factor for profitability or the two casesApart from other needs. Sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food packaging, clean rooms, technology (mobile phones, electronic plates, clocks, etc.) are well known for GHS Automation.
