Xerox presents in Barcelona "the most productive market color digital production system"

Xerox Europe held on 17 and 18 September in Barcelona its annual meeting under the heading 'Xerox forum'. The company took the stage of the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya, which counted with the presence of more than 900 people between clients, professionals and journalists, to officially present the digital production color press "more productive market": Xerox iGen4. During the two days of the event, there was time for a meeting of users iGen3, a meeting of DPUF and channels, as also a large area of partners and new releases of equipment of the company.

After the success achieved with more than 2,000 installations worldwide of its flagship in digital production color Xerox iGen3, the company has launched the new machine Xerox iGen4 to offer print providers an advanced automationmore benefits and more productivity. Xerox iGen4 print images of photographic quality with consistent color from the first impression to the last. It is ideal to produce work that normally generate greater benefits to employers of graphic arts, such as materials of good quality, direct marketing and special products of photography.
While providers may have operating systems to produce the work of its clients is key to increasing their income. iGen4 increases productivity between 25 and 35 per cent to automate the tasks of the operator and reduce the need to interrupt the operation of the press to make adjustments, as well as the overall operating costs. As a result, iGen4 improves the break-even point existing between digital printing and offset printing traditional, making it faster and more economical performed more print jobs at digital.
Technical characteristics of iGen4The digital production color iGen4 press prints at a speed of 110 pages per minute and has the following characteristics:
• Supports larger housings (364 x 571 mm) than other digital presses of the sector.

• Has a greater number of resources for a single job compiled (until 12).
• Total paper capacity: 80,000 sheets.
iGen4 is also designed to help print providers to reduce their environmental impact, since it uses dry, non-toxic ink and reducing waste. More than 97 percent of the components included are recyclable and reusable.
The new press iGen4 offers print providers an advanced automation, more benefits and more productivity.
Comprehensive programme of presentations
During the two days of the event of Xerox in Barcelona, the European firm made various presentations by representatives of the company. Among all of them stressed the talks: 'Update in color and strategy iGen4' by Marc Young and Arnaud Linquette; 'Update on large format' Nigle Banks; 'Update of workflow' Deb Cantabene and Alwin Rasul; ' Winning through high performance: the Ducati history ' by Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Corse General Director; and 'European official presentation of the iGen4' carried out by Arnaud Linquette and Martin Cronwald. During the conferences, attendees learned first-hand details of some news of Xerox and solved their doubts about them in the shootout round of interventions.
The European meeting organized by Xerox also featured the ability to make a tourist tour of Barcelona and attend a dinner at the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I.
