Why do they make their own bottles?
After years of outsource this service, and with our national and international expansion, we saw that it was a good opportunity to customize our packaging. It's producing exclusive packaging of Flower. In this way, also we cerrábamos even more our integrated production system, as in our head of Tàrrega we design, manufacture and commercialize products for the garden and the garden.
Always you have made or before buying them?
We started our first bottle for liquid fertilizers production at the end of March this year.
Materials used for their bottles?
The material is HDPE, high density polyethylene.
As fertilizers and similar products requires something special for the manufacture of bottles?
Nothing special, really the packaging line has not changed, simply has adapted to the new packaging designs.
The bottles are made by extrusion-blown, as they are not a company specialized in the transformation of plastics, have found some kind of difficulty in dealing with this job?
The typical of the initial inexperience, but nothing outstanding. The company manufacturer of machines, Siepla, helped us from the outset with a technician that we had at our disposal so we were taught a better return on the machine. In addition, we also advised on the most suitable raw material for our production, as well as the management of the machine to get best use and performance.
How do you know Siepla? To what extent it influenced in the decision to make their own bottles?
We talked about it when we discussed the idea of making our own containers in our industrial complex. Siepla was a very active prescriber as he explained the advantages of owning a machine plastic-blowing itself, as the cost of transport of the containers, the work of these savings and that we could have more control of the whole process of manufacture of the productfrom raw materials to the final labelling, through producing our own packaging. From the first day, Siepla has provided us with many facilities and encouraged us very much. And it was not disappointed us.
Also do the injection of plugs?
The injection of blocks isn't external. We wanted to start with a single element. Later, we will see.
Are satisfied with the decision to manufacture their own bottles? It is more profitable?
Although they have only been about how many months since our first injection, the truth is that we are very pleased. It is a strong investment, both economic infrastructure and personnel, but the profitability that will provide long-term compensated. For the moment, we produce two of our variety of packaging, but over time we hope to expand production.
