The 818 Xtend is ideal for low VOC gelcoats. It provides a perfect surface tension and a good resistance to chemical products. According to Nancy Teufel, responsible for technical advice of Axel Plastics: "in addition, this rusting is formulated to maintain a better brightness of the mould and to reduce problems with the mold during the molding cycle."

Xtend 818 is a reactive resin that applies easily with cloth on the surface of the mold without being necessary to remove excess product and respecting the brightness of the mold.

The 818 Xtend can also be used under extensive parameters of process. Although it is designed for castings at room temperature also responds adequately on hot moulds as well as conventional manual applications in open moulds.
