Gecomplast bets for cryogenic grinding at Equiplast 2005
Geba has always stood out for its innovation and adaptation to the requirements of its customers. This spirit and great experience in manufacturing, coloration and additivity of thermoplastics has led them to incorporate the technology of cryogenic spraying in the new plant.
The importance of this approach lies in its ability to control the uniformity, the size and shape of particles, thus getting a plastic powder of high quality, purity and a very fine particle size, with growing demand in the market.
Geba, offers a particle size of up to 80 µm, that adapts to various applications.
These fine particles can be used in the coating of technical fabrics, clothing and skins, in the production of lacquers and adhesives, in the manufacture of coatings for dashboards and other interior automotive parts, microinjection, or in the production of conveyor belts.
New and functional appearances are achieved for example in coloration, UV protection and textile coatings, and particularly in the reproduction of tactile sensations imitating the different textures of a surface. The size of standard pellets of most common thermoplastics is not suitable for these objectives, because you can't get certain effects and is necessary to use thermoplastic or not powdered permitting a homogeneous dispersion of the material.
With its positioning in Austria, the Geba group plans to introduce in the emerging markets of Austria and South-East Europe: Slovenia, Czech Republic and Slovakia. In addition, it will offer to its international clients in the sector of automotive, electricity and electrical appliances, which have established factories in this region, a door to door service. It is expected that the new plant becomes operational in January 2006.
