Flexographic presses: for the flexible packaging
The demand of flexible packaging with a lot of images continues growing and the presses Flexolite offers, to the converters, the possibility to go in in operations, or expand them, in this yielding market. The presses has been designed by the Italian Converting Technology srl, a company with which Battenfeld Gloucester has associated by his innovative technology of impressesion and to complement his lines of film and plate.
The model works with coils of until 80" of width and to speeds until 1.500 feet/min. His system patented of platen of impressesion LinearSet uses encoders linear in place of husillos to balls, to ensure a positioned precise of the rollers anilox and the cylinders of impressesion, as well as fast and precise movements of the platen of impressesion. The register can put an or all the platens of injection in a final register in some two revolutions of the central drum, reducing the necessary time to check each platen and allowing a faster start.
The system EasyOpen of the system simplifies the changes of the shirts signalling to the PLC when change of station of impressesion, so that the shirts, bases and shirts of the anilox remain automatically prepared for the change. Since there are not mobile parts of the platen of impressesion in the zone of the operario, the cylinder of impressesion, the bases and the shirts of the rollers that are not into use can be changed during the operation. The PLC monitors which platens are printing and which are changing .
Other characteristics include systems of dried facts to the measure of the needs of each customer; fans of taking of air and expulsion with motors of variable speed that allow to the operario adjust the flow of air according to the needs of each cycle of impressesion; shock-absorbers motorised in the filters of air for the individual regulation of the flow of air and the temperature; systems of temperature of the rolls; systems UV and EB for users that do not want to use dissolvent neither inks with basic water or that they want to apply coatings.
The presses can incorporate diverse types of bobinadores, that allow rolls in
diameters of 32, 40 and 60".
