The method of essay consists in subjecting to the action of a strength of rasgado, a probeta of rectangular form with a previously effected cut. Said strength obtains from the power stored by a pendulum of determinate dimensions. The resistance to the rasgado of the probeta calculates from the power used in rasgar the same.

The range of equipment divides in two families, one of them of analog reading and the another of digital reading. Each family subdivide in models according to capacities.
