Gerardo Gil presnetó BPB as a new link in a process that begins with the daily effort of citizens from Bizkaia to properly separate the waste generated in their homes and shops. After the separation and classification made by the nearby BZB, the fraction of plastic-film plant will be that finally end up in BPB, where will be recycled and converted again in the field raw material for industry. BPB is designed to work with two production lines, although initially it will work with one. It provides for trying this year to 5,000 tons of input to pass 8,000 tonnes in 2006, with the plant at full capacity.
Rebecca Trienekens, BPB which considered as a reference within the plant for recycling of plastic film in the State, recalled the history of your company in Bizkaia, initiated in 1994 and marked by institutional concerns about the environment and its active policy of intervention in this fieldwhich have made the community a model of reference in Europe. It also announced their hope to continue to work with the Diputación Foral de Bizkaia in their new investment projects in this province, remarking that the implementation of a model of public-private cooperation is, in his view, basic in the environmental sector. Trienekens collaboration thanked Ecoembes, without which the project would not have been possible.
