Emag gives a new approach to the machining of shafts in 4-axis
The spindle motor, main spindle, turret and the Cabinet is cooled by fluid. Its rated power (29/38 kW) and high spindle speeds and robust Emag turrets for 40 mm tool handles make the 250 VTC a centre of turning highly efficient for 4-axis machining. Mobile headsets and the lunettes are controlled by CNC. For a complete machining, the 11 positions of each turret, as well as the device of grip of the piece, can be equipped with a fixed lathe or mobile tools for drilling, milling, etc.
According to the requirements of the production industry in order to reduce the flow in the process of machining by integrating specific processes, the company has expanded its product range to cover everything from the original vertical lathe (simple) until the HVSC 400 MT vertical/horizontal combined machining center. This product, presented at Metav 2002, offers a complete machining on 5 sides of complex, round and not round through operations components of turning, drilling, milling and grinding to which new technologies in the future will be added.
Grinding
This collective experience has left its mark on the new design platform, allowing to configure a large number of variants on the machine to fully comply with the requirements of individual clients. Machines that supplied the grinding Emag group include everything from prototypes of grinding up the grinding external production of large lots of components type axes large, small, long or short (Karstens technological experience), and from the rectified internal and external laid down by plato (technological expertise Reinecker) until the grinding of high precision components camshaft and camshaft (technological expertise of Kopp) axes.
In large part, the basic machines, even for very different production operations, are identical, with the advantages that this provides to the user: standardized operation, programming and maintenance resulting in a shorter learning curve and lower maintenance costs. It makes the use of available personnel more flexible and easier to plan and allows the multifunctionality of the machine.
Turning
To ensure that the manufacturer and the supplier of the piece form to also heavy industry benefited from the advantages offered by this new generation of machines, Emag incorporates in its VSC series of machines a "compact" version: the standard lathe VL. The experience gained from the use of machines 3500 VSC in the field has been in the development of the VL Series. At the same time, the principle of "compact" design of the lathe VL standard has taken into account the requirements of medium-sized companies and subcontractors. These requirements are: shorter times of equipment with other machines, the suitability for the production of lots of components both large and small, high-precision, high rates of production, a high degree of availability and ability to process and, above alla very advantageous price/performance ratio.
Multifunction
By its multifunctional production centres Emag has pioneered the consolidation of flows of processes through the integration of various technologies with the advantages for the user this means: less outlay of capital, lower costs in the manufacturing of components, reduced production times, better quality parts and a greater integrity in process capability.
The welding laser as a means to bring together components permanently has gained considerable importance in recent years. In most cases the joints welded by laser are the solution for a more compact design. It also means a reduction in weight and cost of components and in particular in the automotive industry to reduce fuel consumption.
