The conservation of the autochthonous pork races, key to preserve the traditional industry according to the project Qubic

That persist the biodiversidad of the autochthonous pork races is one of the important factors to preserve and reinforce the meat sector traditional of manufacturing of products cárnicos-cured in the Mediterranean. This is one of the conclusions of the European project Qubic, presented recently in
Qubic Is the first European project that has collected of systematic way information about the technical graziers and the products cured of the autochthonous races of different countries and regions of the Mediterranean: black pig of Nebrodi, Muslim Romagnola, Nero of Parma, Iberian, black pig of Greece, race Nustrale of Córcega, Strip Senese (Siena). The results obtained by the project are associated to three crowbars of performance: the consumer, the producing SMEs and the administrations, that collect in a guide that reflects all the existent situation in the Mediterranean regions participants of the project.
That the consumer have capacity for differences the categories of the existent products or that conserve and exchange with other elaboradores technical and best practices of production are, according to the project, others of the factors that contribute to the success of this industry in the Mediterranean zone. Likewise, the project insists in that the public servicys contribute to the sustainability of the meat sector traditional in the rural zones.
