Ainia boosts support for the food industry with three new pilot plants

Ainia, Center for research and technological development of the agro-food sector, incorporates to its Center three new pilot plant to enhance its services to the food industry. This expansion of infrastructure for r & d, with the support of the Impiva, will serve to develop a productive change to improve the competitiveness of enterprises.
New pilot plant, the first for its operation in the country, will operate in fields such as the optimization of water in the food industry; the increase of hygiene in the production and processing of food products or the incorporation of sensors for the optimization and automation of production processes. Today, Ainia has 11 pilot plants, a pioneering initiative that places the departments of research and development of the companies within the technology center facilities. In fact, Ainia intended an investment of more than 10% a year of its turnover to infrastructure and equipment for projects of r & d. "is important to make this effort to provide infrastructure and quality equipment that allow us to exploit the projects and provide support to enterprises in the knowledge of the feasibility of" "the proposals of innovation", assured the head of r & d of Ainia, Miguel Blasco. "In this sense we want to position ourselves, as a European reference in key technologies and knowledge and mastery of them." To this end, we have, basically, infrastructures of last generation and a team of highly trained and experience, with a comprehensive vision of the technology and the market. "A team capable of providing innovative solutions to the diverse issues raised by the companies".
The technological synergy pilot laboratorios-planta is key to move through the innovation and r & d. Ainia also has a few laboratories that complement and reinforce the pilot infrastructure in the areas of physical-chemical analysis; bioassays and biosafety class III.
