Ainia presents the first maps of agro-biogas at Spain
July 8, 2009
The biogas is obtained through a technology called "anaerobic co-digestión" that allows to take advantage of waste organic materials from various agricultural activities, such as for example: by-products of fruits and vegetables, meat or fish, the cattle manure (manure and slurry) waste, sludge from sewage treatment plants of industries food, etc.
Therefore, to develop the maps it has been estimated first location and potential amount of these raw materials, and subsequently determined in experimental pilot digesters the amount of biogas to be gained from each one of them.
