Interview with Alberto Garrido, managing director of Negri Bossi
In Europe, and of course also in Spain, automation and not only the removal and deposition of parts but also to the subsequent processes of editing, finishing, control, etc., it is an inescapable obligation. There is a clear confirmation in the growing demand for this type of system.
Does plenty of room in Spain for the sale of robots in the plastics industry?
In my opinion, the main demand is induced by the purchase of new machines, that already tend to incorporate, as I have mentioned before, this type of equipment. In already existing in the market with some old machines, there is a number that has no robot and in which no doubt a certain percentage could be equipped and enjoy the benefits that entails.
There is room to improve the robots? What technical characteristic is your company focusing to make improvements? (speed, accuracy, cost reduction...).
Our firm is focusing, as well as improve the characteristics of our robots and achieve prices the most competitive possible (always without belittling the quality), in directing their efforts towards the complete solutions, i.e. not only the sale of a robot for the handling of a piece, but the supply of the solution for the manufacture of a finished article.
