Solvay, Altuglas International, Rhodia Engineering Plastics and Sabic Innovative Plastics presented its new products in high-performance materials

Guzmán plastics was present at the last K in Düsseldorf fair through its represented of plastics engineering and machines for the plastics processing industry. The Valencian company sold in Spain large number of firms internationally recognized in the engineering plastics sector. Among them, Solvay, Altuglas International, Rhodia Engineering Plastics or Sabic Innovative Plastics wanted to present their news in high-performance materials in this latest edition.

Although the trade in raw materials is their main activity, Guzmán polymers, represents several reference marks of machinery for the transformation of plastics, such as Fanuc Roboshot (electric injection machines), Rapid Granulator (mills), Wemo (robots) and Main Tech (power peripherals) in Spain(, dosing and dehumidification) among others. All of them had a presence at the fair, receiving large influx of customers, highlighting the significant number of visits by Spanish companies of the sector.

Energy saving, its ergonomics and the extremely simple handling of the electrical injection machine Fanuc meet the expectations of the most demanding client. The great increase in the stability of the process and productivity has been based on the following new features: an optimum repetition of piece in each injected, a very high precision injection with a new CNC technology and very rapid servo drivesartificial intelligence (AI) for a safe management of the process and protection of mold, moulding by injection of parts of ultra thinwalled through speed of injection, as well as the Euromap 63 for the integration of the peripheral equipment.

With the innovative series B, Fanuc fulfils many of the wishes expressed by the clients for a machine that can accommodate larger moulds. Development of Fanuc engineers have increased the horizontal distance between the columns, for example in the Roboshot S-2000i 50 B (50 tonnes of clamping force) to 360 mm, 150 B to 560, and the largest, the 300 B with 300 tons of force closure, 810 mm. The new generation of machines do not support only larger moulds, but that they really impressed by the high stiffness that allows the use of much heavier and more complex moulds. FANUC relies on the technology of two plates on the mobile side. The result: a more uniform in the mold clamping force - achieved simultaneously and in a synchronized way - which is vital to the production of small parts of high precision molds with multiple cavities.

Euromap 63 is now integrated into the Fanuc Roboshot. The control via computer or the data management of operation including the management of the production, recording of data, orders and the planning of moulds, as well as the assurance of quality and documentation are fully incorporated, and the Fanuc Roboshot machines can easily be integrated into existing data management systems.

The unique concept of Rapid 'heart-open', initially released for other series of mills in 2006, is based on an ergonomic design that allows a simple, direct and full access to the heart of the machine, the rotor and the Chamber of court during the production changes.

This simplifies radically the inspection, cleaning and the maintenance process - which can be up to 80 per cent of the costs of work of a mill. In two simple steps, and without the use of tools, the Chamber of court cannot be opened completely, providing a visual access to the elements of the heart of the machine. The 600 series of Rapid will be available in three models and can reach capacities of up to 2,500 kg/h.

Along with the new 600 series, Rapid also presented their complete range of Mills 'Open heart' including the 300, 400 and 500 series. In addition, two new additions to the series 400: 400-60 HD (Heavy Duty) for applications of great hardness; and the 400-120, the greater width of all the series model, designed for the recycling of parts of large widths injection moulded and waste products from the thermoforming process.

Rapid 'heart-opened' mills are designed for crushing walking machine or as a centralized team for large volume parts from both processes of injection, blow molding or extrusion for direct recycling. They all use the technique of cutting of Rapid, which includes the clean double scissor cutting action and the constant cycle of court by producing granules of uniform size with minimal content powder even with the toughest materials.

There is a great need for solutions at an affordable cost for the stacking of pieces on conveyor machines injection below 150 tons. It is often necessary to invest in large cells of robots adjusted for short cycle and rapid movements of extraction times.

Wemo introduces a new concept based on the 4-5 robot Swing Arm with a unit of stacking independent transmission servo, with conveyor belt as a more integrated element of the system. The unit is controlled by the robot and you can store several programs of stacking the manual control panel. This allows the use of the system in a very simple way and the adjustment of the parameters after a change in mold can be done in seconds. Typical products for which it has designed this concept are different pieces as boxes, covers, glasses, etc

The new robot of Wemo 8-5 pm for up to 200 tonnes injection machines is ideal for pieces of thin walls where the short cycle times are needed. Wemo 8-5 can be downloaded to 3.5 seconds in continuous production, which is extremely interesting for this kind of pieces from a standpoint of costs and capacity. It can be combined with a conveyor belt and one IML.

The Italian firm Main Tech has a wide range of systems for drying and dosing units, individual and centralized, as well as mixed teams. The main features of these teams are their innovative design ' Made in Italy', materials of high quality-predominantly stainless steel-, pneumatic and electronic components from leading brands, easy manejo-mantenimiento and energy saving.

The main novelties presented at the fair are: the new series LDM-HT, units of highly accurate dosing for master or additives for use in high temperature applications, the new units of accurate dosing LDP for micromáster or additives in powder and a new application for storagetransport and dosing of materials complicated in the form of flakes and powder designed for the extrusion sector.

In addition, Main Tech commercializes small dehumidifiers with compressed air for hygroscopic materials and a new series of Touch-Sys control with integrated supervisor and graphical interface for the management and installation of centralized storage and supply of materials.
