Ainia Participates in the consortium of technological companies to increase the global hygiene of Europe

Ainia Technological Centre participates in the European project Eden, ‘End-user driven DEmo for cbrNe', whose aim is the put in common of knowledge, development and implementation of systems of information interoperables to improve the prevention and performance in front of chemical threats, biological, radiológicas and nuclear (threats tipificadas like CBRN) in Europe. Framed inside the thematic of hygiene of the Diary of European Investigation with a near budget to the 25 million euros and a length of three years, the project sets up with a meeting in Paris in which they will be present his near of 40 partners. Between them, in addition to Ainia technological centre, stand out technological companies like BAE Systems, EADS, Indra, and centres of investigation like Fraunhofer EMI.

The alimentary sector is one of the 3 main axles of performance that marks the project, given the social impact that can suppose actions malintencionadas and threats to the supply of foods. The protection of these threats is extending in the last years to the alimentary industry through a preventive approach, even of forced fulfillment. The work in this area will direct mainly to generate new methodologies and technologies to verify the resistance of the alimentary chain in the stages of processed and distribution of foods in front of this type of threats as, for example, the pollution malintencionada of foods by toxins or microorganisms.

The collaboration of Ainia in this initiative will centre in moving his experience in the application of methods of evaluation of risks (vulnerabilities), as well as in the development of technologies and systems of information interoperables and the application of devices for the management of crisis and communication of alimentary alerts. Besides, for testar his correct operation, Ainia will coordinate the pilot proofs of the systems developed to national level in the stages of distribution of the alimentary products, with the participation of companies of the sector.
