Citoliva Will represent to the sector of the oil in the new stage of the European innovation

Citoliva Will be the attendant to represent to the sector of the olive oil and the olive of table in the European project ‘Trafoon: Traditional Food Network to improve the transfer of knowledge for innovation' led by the University of Hohenheim and approved in the last announcement of the Program KBBE of the 7º Program Marco. The project has like aim offer innovative solutions for a better protection and conservation of the traditional foods in Europe through the innovation to support the work of the small and average producers and improve his competitiveness. For this, a compound network by 30 European institutions of investigation, agencies of technology transfer and associations of SMEs of the chain of value of the four traditional foods - cereals, fish, vegetables and mushrooms, and fruit- will detect and will collect the needs of these small and medium enterprises, and will transfer the necessary knowledge to improve the production and commercialisation of these traditional products and do them more competitive. The technological solutions that they are of interest, will be transferred through workshops of qualification where will use mediators formed specifically to communicate these solutions. Likewise, it will create a portal of information for the public access with the object to arrive to the greater number of SMEs.

The sector of the olive of table and the olive oil will be represented through the work developed by Citoliva, the Andalusian Agency of the Knowledge, and the Ifapa. With his participation in this type of European projects, Citoliva advances progressively in the quota of presence in the international field. The program Trafoon began of official way the past 26 November in Germany, and foresees his ending for October of 2016. His execution will suppose an investment of more than 4,5 million euros, of which almost 4 will be funded by the EU. In addition to the Spanish representation, the project has the participation of pertinent entities of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Low Countries, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia and Switzerland.
