The turnover of SMEs in the sector of capital equipment increased 404 M in 2011

The Spanish industry of goods of team (machinery and equipment that integrates to the productive processes) increased 1% his turnover in the exercise 2011 and reached the figure of 39.000 million euros. This sector is formed by 2.000 companies, of which the immense majority are SMEs. According to data of the National Association of Manufacturers of Goods of Team (Sercobe), the past year the SMEs increased his income in 404 million euros and reached the figure of 26.130 million euros, what involves a growth of 1,5% regarding 2010.

The big companies, those that have more than 750 employees, experienced a light increase in the volume of sales during the past exercise and arrived to the 12.870 million euros. These companies represent around 33% of the total of the turnover of the Spanish industry of goods of team.

The sector of the goods of team divides in two big groups: metalmecánica (manufacturers of pipe, structures, boilerworks, turbines, nuclear reagents, machines-tool, etc.) and electrical-electronic (motors, generators, devices of electromedicina, navigation and detection, etc.). In 2011, the metalmecánica is the one who achieved the greater growth with 6,5% of variation interanual. By his part, the electrical-electronic has suffered a descent in the order of the -5,5% regarding 2010.

The sector of the goods of team, that represents 5% of the Spanish GDP and has 175.000 places of direct work, bases the weight of his activity in the external trade. In fact, this industry is the exporting elder of our country with a growth in the order of 16% and a turnover of 31.000 million euros in 2011. In this sense, the European Union is the main customer of goods of team with a near investment to the 18.000 million euros, what equivale to 57,6% of the world-wide total.
