Tekniker, a technology centre which opens up new perspectives to the technological offer and relations with industrial customers
The technology centre TEKNIKER, located in the Gipuzkoan town of Eibar, was established in 1981 and, since 1985, has been dedicating all his capacity to manufacturing technologies. Meaning such that in one way or another is linked to the cycle of life full of a product, from the conception of the same to recycling and waste management.

Tekniker is therefore a centre fully dedicated to the technological needs of the manufacturing of serial products. Available technology and experience in all matters relating to the design, the physical, chemical and physico-chemical processes of manufacture, machinery, automation of the production, management of technical information and the introduction of information technologies and communications in the industrial environment. Like most emerging components of this offer appear Microtechnologies, which constitute the natural extension of the manufacture towards small / very precise.
Tekniker is a recognized internationally, and thus guarantees it their participation in the European framework programme (one of the most prolific among Spanish institutions of research and technology), in manufacturing processes, in machine tool advanced in Tribology (Science and technology of wear)and coatings in the management of technical information.

Among the contributions more relevant and exclusive to the industrial development of our country must have: the introduction of the technology of machining of high speed, both from the point of view of the process and the tool machine tools (early prototypes of machine driven by linear motors)(hexápodos and high-speed components such as moto spindle heads); the popularization of the relevance of the Tribology and lubrication in the improvement of mechanical devices and its maintenance; the generation of a comprehensive offer in process of deposition of layers using PVD (physical vapour phase deposition) techniques, including techniques of evaporation and engineering of the Chambers; performance pioneer in Microtechnologies, to the extent available to Tekniker micro-fabrication laboratory better equipped and most experienced of Spain in production of non-electronic microcomponentes; and the approximation to the paradigms of manufacturing of the future (systems of manufacturing holónica, production thanks to the contextualized information, etc.).
The technology centre Tekniker is characterized, moreover, for their understanding and proximity to the problems of the SMEs, not in vain Tekniker was born and evolves around the demand for small and medium-sized companies which, on the other hand, remain the establishment mostly represented on its Board of Directors.

In that regard Tekniker makes available to different customers alternatives of relationship: from the typical customer-supplier, with supply turnkey, according to specifications, until the establishment of long-term technological partnership, in which the Center plays the role of technology partnerpass through which both product innovation and the adaptation of the production process to the new requirements of competitiveness. Between these limits, the entity proposed any kind of relationship resulting from the preference of the client; including those collaborative formulas in which several entities, industry and innovation, working together to benefit to the collective objectives. In this last circumstance, Tekniker is no stranger to the commitment to contribute to the enrichment of the productive fabric, and is participating, in the cases in that there are market opportunities, in the generation of new business initiative (date Tekniker has been partner of 17 new companies).
