More possibilities in the design of luminaires
Covers luminaires require materials with high transmission, good resistance to weathering and UV rays. If added to this to only show signs of ageing after a long time at high temperatures and a high resistance to chemicals we have as a result the masses of moulding Röhm Plexiglas. In addition to the freedom of design of this material, rather than to the glass, Plexiglas offers the possibility to treat them for special requirements: increased resistance to impacts or masses of moulding resistant fissures by tension for more aggressive applications (such as industrial luminaires).
One of the more mindless applications is the mass of moulding for diffusers to create velvety finish and a diffuse distribution of light with a high transmission. This is achieved thanks to the inclusion of polymer particles with a refractive index of different mass of moulding. The result is a homogeneous distribution of the light.
