Aimplas standardises reusable bags
April 26, 2011
Aimplas (Technological Institute of plastics) has worked in various ways which allow plastic materials adapted to the PNIR (integrated National Plan of waste), approved in 2009 and that, with regard to plastic bags, provides two measures: reduce by 50% the use of a single use in 2010 plastic bag and eliminates, from 2011, the non biodegradable disposable plastic bag.
One of these roads, has been the active participation in the group of stock exchanges of the Committee of Normalisation of Packs and Packaging. From this Committee has elaborated a norm for the homologation of the stock exchange of reusable plastic, of greater size that the current and with a cycle of life that bears at least 15 uses. “An optimum solution and medioambientalmente compatible with the quoted PNIR”, as they comment from Aimplas. The norm is JOINS it 53942 ‘reusable Stock exchanges of polyethylene (PE) for the transport of products distributed to the by minor. Technical requirements, environingingmental criteria and methods of essay', whose requirements and specifications come reflected in the table 1.
