The Ascamm Foundation receives 1.8 million euros of the Sabadell and Santander for its enlargement

The contribution of Banc Sabadell and Banco Santander will, not only for the extension of the Ascamm technology centre in Cerdanyola del Vallés (Barcelona) works, but also finance r & d lines.
With enlargement, the Ascamm Technology Centre have an area of 11,000 square meters, which means nearly double their current facilities. On the other hand, allows extending template 60% up to 160 workers (industrial engineers, technologists biomedical, physical, and other highly qualified technicians) and r & d at 70%. In this respect are new lines such as nanotechnology and energy that already have important projects in execution, including several CENITs or Nuclis d' r + d.
ASCAMM is a multisectoral Centre and its main clients belong to diverse sectors such as transformation of plastic and metal and packaging, transport (automotive, aeronautical, rail), equipment industrial, biomédico-sanitario (devices and equipment) and electrical appliances.
The new facility housing the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics, with significantly increased capabilities and spaces for joint research units where professionals of different companies, the Ascamm technology centre and university research groups work on common projects.
The private Ascamm Foundation is one of the core members that form part of TECNIO, the network that power differential technology, business innovation and excellence in Catalonia. In the extension works are invested a total of EUR 5 million, of which a part will be co-financed by the Ministry of science and innovation (Micinn) and ACC1Ó (Generalitat de Catalunya).
