Spanish manufacturers of machine tools in the IMTS 2010 Chicago

Ten Spanish companies of the machine tool sector will take part in which is considered to be the second event of the world. Companies associated with AFM- Association Spanish of manufacturers of machine tools - Autopulit, Danobat, Etxe-tar, Fagor Automation, GMTK, Meco, Ona EDM and Soraluce, along with cinnamon and Izar, cutting tool manufacturers make up the Spanish participation in the IMTS in Chicago to be held from 13 to 18 September.

Chicago will host the next edition of IMTS between 13 and 18 September 2010.

As usual since 1976, year in which associated AFM companies presented their machines in the pageant for the first time, AFM coordinates participation in the fair of Spanish manufacturers of machine tools with the support of ICEX. The whole of the Spanish companies will occupy a net exhibition area of 860 square metres, in an event that will feature more than 1,100 exhibitors and will host over 90,000 visitors, according to the forecasts of the organization. It should be recalled that USA is the tenth destination of exports of Spanish machine tools.

In addition, prior to the conclusion of the fair, AFM has organized a technical mission in which technical responsible of machine tool manufacturers will visit several companies in the States of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. Technical enterprises associated with AFM, Goratu, Ibarmia, Juaristi, Kondia, M.Torres, Fatronik, Tecnalia, Ideko and Tekniker technological centres and the own AFM, will visit this week MAG Gidding & Lewis (vertical lathes and boring machines), Ingersoll Production Systems (special machine and machining centers)Index (centres of turning), MAG Cincinnati (milling and boring machines), Novi Precision (special machine) and the technology centres Wu Manufacturing Research Center and National Center for Manufacturing Sciences.
