MSD-R: solutions for actuation of dishes of turning
June 23, 2010
So far, the most conventional solution for drives of dishes has consisted of a main drive - with a single sprocket - for work of turning and pre-loaded progress box Assistant - double pinion - for operations of milling with c axis
A main drive provides the dish the pair of total drive during the continuous mode (turning). This drive is generally composed of a Gears of parallel railway box, which includes a 2 speed transmission box to expand the range of constant power of the engine according to the minimum and maximum diameters of the piece to mechanise. It provides pair high to low speed operations of grinding of steel or cast iron and high speeds in operations of semifinishing and finishing. For its part, the auxiliary drive mode C axis provides 100% of the pair of drive at low speeds for operations of milling and positioned. In this mode, the main drive should go to neutral - dead - and being dragged. When you need to move to continuous mode - turning - again, the two pine nuts from the auxiliary drive must disconnect the drive.
MDS-R system, easy and economic
Redex Andatex is introducing a new solution in the market that takes advantage of the new systems of control and drive (for example, Siemens or Fanuc CNC).
The main drive consists of 2 identical transmission boxes - system TwinDrive-distributed torque actuation - 50 - 50% - during the operations of turning. In the operations of milling and positioned the CNC operates a system of preload master-slave to cancel the game in the system, an engine acciona and the other stops. In the latter case it would work in mode c axis
This new system of commercial transmission key in hand developed and manufactured by Redex Andatex is composed of the combination of a box of 2-speed-drive main spindle its commercial series MSD along with an angular precision forwarding and high pair of its commercial R series. This system offers a designed unique and compact ready to be mounted on the machine. Depending on the needs of the application, the manufacturer of the machine can use angular forwarding as an option.
The new range includes 4 sizes: MSD35R31, MSD35R41, MSD60R41 and MSD60R51, getting a pair in the pinion from 2.000/4.000 Nm (2 engines of 40 kW) up to 9000/18,000 Nm (2 motor 100 kW) with 2 speed ratios of 7, 66 & 2 and 9, 88 & 2.
This solution, combined with a pinion/Crown between 10 and 15 relationship offers, on the one hand pairs of turning from 200,000 to 270,000 Nm and global relations - gearbox + Crown toothed - 77/20 and 148/30, on the other.
The development of new dishes of turning, the MSD-R system is much more simple and economic. In particular, it eliminates the need to develop a complex speeds box for the main drive and a box for axis C. also, for existing systems, also offers numerous advantages. A solution with 2 engines is much less expensive and easier to manage. In the case of dishes for heavy work and very demanding tasks, a conventional drive with 1 160 kW engine, for example, would be replaced by the MSD-R system which used two engines of 80 kW, offering a more standard and therefore less costly solutioneven incorporating 2 engines. The smaller engines supply management is also simplified. In addition, avoiding the need to make an additional speed box for axis (c) with all its components.
