BIEMH 2010 defies the crisis and closed with a positive balance of the event

In total participated in the contest 35.263 visitors coming from a set of 54 countries, many of them strategic markets and major consumers of machine tools such as Portugal, France, Germany, Turkey and Switzerland, in Europe, as well as India, Argentina, Russia, BrazilMaghreb, Chile, Israel, China and Mexico. At the national level, the geographic areas with greater representation were Catalonia, Madrid, Castilla-León and Navarre, as well as the own Basque Autonomous Community. "These visitors had reaffirmed the leadership and the quality of BIEMH, in correspondence with the commercial and economic effort carried out by the Organization of this industrial competition", in the words of its organizers.
Also, the presence of professionals from companies with great purchasing power has favoured the development of contacts and very significant business operations. Specifically, these visitors belonging to the categories of production, by 21%, leadership/management, 20%, heads of Department, by 17.6% and heads of purchase, a 16%.
With better institutional support

The biennial was noted for the outstanding exhibition of stands that were able to meet the technological main trends, especially calling attention to machines for large applications of machining in which the Spanish sector holds the leadership of the market, and the solutions for sectors wind, rail or aviation. In addition, it was significant the contribution of technology centers on themes of automation, micro-machining, portable machines, machine vision, dimensional control, robotics and new applications.
Also note that since the Organization pointed that the expectations with which both organizers and exhibitors started the twenty sixth edition of the biennial have been largely overcome.
